ADS7864Y/2K

The ADS7864Y/2K is a dual 12-bit, 500kHz analog-to-digital (A/D) converter with 6 fully differential input channels grouped into three pairs for high-speed simultaneous signal acquisition. Inputs to the sample-and-hold amplifiers are fully differential and maintained differential to the ADC input, providing excellent common-mode rejection of 80dB at 50kHz for high-noise environments. The device offers a parallel byte-wide interface with control inputs to minimize software overhead, and output data for each channel is available as a 16-bit word (address and data).

Key specifications include a 500ksps sampling rate per channel, 2µs throughput per channel, and 1MHz effective sampling rate. The SAR architecture delivers 12-bit resolution with no missing codes, and a 6x FIFO buffer reduces processor overhead. Power consumption is 50mW typical, with analog and digital supply ranges of 4.75V to 5.25V. The input voltage range is 0V to 2.5V, supporting both external and internal reference modes.
