The ADS7852YB/250 is a 12-bit, 8-channel analog-to-digital converter (ADC) featuring a successive approximation register (SAR) architecture. It integrates a sample-and-hold amplifier, an internal 2.5V reference, and a full 12-bit parallel output interface. The device achieves a sampling rate of 500kSPS with typical power dissipation of only 13mW at 500kHz throughput, and can be further reduced to 2mW in sleep mode.
This ADC accepts single-ended input signals with a range from 0V to twice the reference voltage. The reference can be driven externally for flexibility. The ADS7852YB/250 provides excellent linearity with ±1 LSB typical INL and DNL, and no missing codes. It achieves a typical SINAD of 70dB.
The device is designed for multi-channel applications where low power and small size are critical. It is suitable for medical instrumentation, high-speed data acquisition, industrial process control, and laboratory equipment. The ADS7852YB/250 is housed in a 32-pin TQFP package (5x5mm) and is surface-mount compatible. It operates over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
