The ADS7841P is a 12-bit, 4-channel successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter from Texas Instruments. It offers a maximum sampling rate of 200 kHz and operates from a single 2.7V to 5V supply.
The device provides 12-bit resolution with ±2 LSB INL and ±1 LSB DNL, ensuring no missing codes. It achieves a SINAD of 72 dB. Power dissipation is typically 2 mW at 200 kHz throughput, with a shutdown mode reducing power to 15 µW.
The ADC supports 4 single-ended or 2 differential inputs via an internal multiplexer. It uses a SPI-compatible serial interface for data transfer. The external reference voltage can range from 100 mV to VCC.
Housed in a 16-pin DIP (0.300" width) package for through-hole mounting. Suitable for battery-powered systems, portable data loggers, and industrial process control.
