The ADS7825UB/1K is a 16-bit, 4-channel successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter from Texas Instruments. It offers a maximum sampling rate of 40kSPS and a conversion time of 25µs. The device operates from a single +5V supply and dissipates only 50mW of power, with a power-down mode for further energy savings. The input multiplexer accepts four single-ended channels with a ±10V input range, enabled by laser-trimmed scaling resistors. The converter includes a sample-and-hold (S/H) circuit and supports both external and internal voltage references. Data output is available via SPI or parallel interface. The ADS7825UB/1K is housed in a 28-pin SOIC package (0.295" width) and is specified for operation over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It is pin-compatible with the 12-bit ADS7824 and can be configured for continuous conversion mode to sequentially digitize all four channels. Typical applications include industrial control, data acquisition systems, and multi-channel monitoring.
