The Texas Instruments ADS7049-Q1 is an ultra-low-power, ultra-small-size 12-bit SAR ADC capable of a 2 MSPS throughput. It is qualified for automotive applications and meets AEC-Q100 standards.
This ADC operates with a wide analog supply voltage range of 2.35 V to 3.6 V and a digital supply voltage range of 1.65 V to 3.6 V, independent of the analog supply. It offers excellent performance with 12-bit resolution, ±0.5 LSB DNL, ±0.5 LSB INL, 70-dB SNR, and -80-dB THD at 3-V AVDD. The unipolar input range is from 0 V to AVDD.
Designed for space-constrained applications, the ADS7049-Q1 comes in a miniature 8-pin VSSOP package measuring 2.30 mm x 2.00 mm. Its low power consumption, 1.38 mW maximum at 2 MSPS, makes it suitable for power-sensitive designs. The SPI-compatible serial interface supports up to 32 MHz clock speeds.
Key electrical characteristics include a typical power consumption of 1.14 mW and an operating temperature range from -40°C to 125°C. The device also features integrated offset calibration and robust ESD protection with HBM classification of ±2000 V and CDM classification of ±1000 V.
