The ADS7041IDCUR is a 10-bit successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Texas Instruments. It offers a maximum sampling rate of 1 MSPS with zero data latency, making it suitable for high-speed data acquisition applications.
The device operates from a single analog supply of 1.65V to 3.6V and a separate digital supply of 1.65V to 3.6V, independent of AVDD. It consumes only 0.189 mW at 1 MSPS with 1.8V AVDD, and features excellent linearity with ±0.8 LSB INL and ±0.7 LSB DNL. The ADC achieves 61 dB SNR and -75 dB THD at 3V AVDD.
The ADS7041IDCUR communicates via an SPI-compatible serial interface with a 14 MHz clock. It is available in an 8-pin VSSOP (DCU) package with a 6.2 mm² footprint. The device is rated for operation from -40°C to 125°C.
Typical applications include battery-powered systems, portable instrumentation, and sensor interfaces where ultra-low power and small size are critical. The integrated offset calibration and unipolar input range from 0V to AVDD simplify system design.
