The ADS5410IPFB is a high-speed, high-performance 12-bit pipelined analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Texas Instruments. It achieves a maximum sampling rate of 80 MSPS with a typical power dissipation of 360 mW. The device features a 1 GHz input bandwidth differential analog input, making it ideal for IF subsampling applications. It provides 75 dB spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) at 100 MHz IF.
The ADC operates from a 3.3V analog supply and 1.8V digital supply, with I/O supply ranging from 1.8V to 3.3V. The output is in 2s complement format via a parallel data interface. The pipelined architecture ensures no missing codes over the full operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. An on-chip sample-and-hold and internal reference simplify system design.
The ADS5410IPFB is well-suited for cellular base station receivers (IF sampling for GSM, IS-95, UMTS, CDMA2000), medical imaging (ultrasound, MRI), and portable instrumentation. It is housed in a 48-TQFP (7x7) surface-mount package with gull wing leads.
