The ADS1602IPFBR is a 16-bit Sigma-Delta analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Texas Instruments, offering a maximum sample rate of 2.5 MSPS. It achieves outstanding dynamic performance with a typical SNR of 91 dB at 100 kHz input, THD of -101 dB, and SFDR of 103 dB. The device uses a differential input and supports both external and internal voltage references. An on-chip digital filter simplifies antialiasing requirements, and the high-speed 3-wire serial interface directly connects to TMS320 DSPs. The ADC operates from digital supplies of 2.7V to 5.25V and analog supplies of 4.75V to 5.25V, with typical power consumption of 530 mW. The input voltage range is 0 to 4.6V. The ADS1602IPFBR is housed in a 48-TQFP (7x7mm) surface-mount package and operates over the -40°C to 85°C temperature range. This combination of high speed and precision makes it suitable for data acquisition systems, medical imaging, and industrial control.
