ADS1299IPAG Description

Short technical summary and product information.

ADS1299IPAG is an 8-channel, 24-bit, simultaneous-sampling delta-sigma analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with built-in programmable gain amplifiers (PGAs) from Texas Instruments. Designed for biopotential measurements such as EEG, it integrates eight low-noise PGAs and eight high-resolution ADCs that sample simultaneously, along with a built-in bias drive amplifier, lead-off detection, test signals, and an internal oscillator.

The device delivers an input-referred noise of 1 µVpp (70-Hz bandwidth) and an input bias current of 300 pA. It supports data rates from 250 SPS to 16 kSPS and programmable gain settings of 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 12, or 24 V/V. An internal or external reference can be selected, and communication is handled through a SPI-compatible serial interface.

The ADS1299IPAG operates with an analog supply of 4.75 V to 5.25 V and a digital supply of 1.8 V to 3.6 V, consuming typically 42 mW. It is housed in a 64-TQFP (10x10) surface-mount package and supports an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C, making it suitable for portable and high-density biopotential acquisition systems.
