ADS1298RIZXGR

The Texas Instruments ADS1298RIZXGR is a multichannel, simultaneous sampling, 24-bit delta-sigma analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with built-in programmable gain amplifiers (PGAs). This AFE is specifically designed for biopotential measurements, including ECG applications, and features integrated respiration impedance measurement capabilities.

Key electrical specifications include low input-referred noise of 4 μV PP (at 150 Hz BW, G = 6), low input bias current of 200 pA, and a programmable gain range from 1 to 12. The device supports data rates from 250 SPS to 32 kSPS and offers a high Common-Mode Rejection Ratio (CMRR) of –115 dB. It operates with unipolar or bipolar supplies, with AVDD ranging from 2.7 V to 5.25 V and DVDD from 1.65 V to 3.6 V.

Designed for medical applications, the ADS1298RIZXGR supports systems meeting AAMI EC11, EC13, IEC60601-1, IEC60601-2-27, and IEC60601-2-51 standards. It includes built-in features such as a Right Leg Drive amplifier, lead-off detection, Wilson Center Terminal, pace detection, and test signals. The device communicates via an SPI-compatible serial interface.

The ADS1298RIZXGR is available in a 64-NFBGA (8x8) package, suitable for surface mounting. It operates within a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. The standard package quantity is 1000 units on tape and reel.
