The ADS1286UL is a 12-bit successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Texas Instruments. It operates with a single 5V supply and features a differential input with a sample-and-hold amplifier. The device achieves a maximum sampling rate of 20kHz and communicates via an SPI-compatible serial interface.
The converter offers guaranteed no missing codes and typical integral nonlinearity of ±1 LSB. It consumes only 250 μA of supply current, making it suitable for low-power and remote applications. The ADS1286UL is available in an 8-pin SOIC package (8-SOIC) for surface mount assembly.
Typical applications include remote data acquisition, isolated data acquisition, transducer interfaces, and battery-operated systems. The device requires an external voltage reference and operates over a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
The supply voltage is 5V.
The ADS1286UL is available in an 8-SOIC (0.154", 3.90mm Width) surface mount package.
