The ADS1244IDGSR is a low-power, 24-bit delta-sigma analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Texas Instruments. It features a single differential or single-ended input channel with a ±5V differential input range. The device achieves a typical power consumption of just 0.27 mW, making it well-suited for portable and battery-powered instruments.
The converter uses a 3rd-order delta-sigma modulator and digital filter to provide excellent noise performance and built-in 50/60 Hz rejection. The SPI serial interface simplifies connection to microcontrollers such as the MSP430. The ADS1244 supports single-cycle settling and includes a sleep mode for power savings between conversions.
The ADS1244IDGSR is offered in a 10-pin VSSOP (MSOP) surface-mount package with an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. It requires an external voltage reference.
