The ADS114S08IRHBR is a 16-bit, 4-kSPS delta-sigma analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Texas Instruments designed for precision sensor measurement. It integrates a 12-input multiplexer, programmable gain amplifier (PGA), voltage reference, and oscillator, enabling a compact front-end for multi-channel data acquisition systems.
This device offers a programmable gain of 1 to 128 and programmable data rates from 2.5 SPS to 4 kSPS. It supports differential, pseudo-differential, and single-ended inputs, and includes simultaneous 50/60 Hz rejection at rates up to 20 SPS. Additional features include dual-matched programmable current sources for sensor excitation, a 2.5 V internal reference (10 ppm/°C drift max), an internal oscillator (4.096 MHz, 1.5% accuracy), internal temperature sensor, GPIOs, and optional CRC on the SPI interface.
The ADC operates from a unipolar analog supply of 2.7 V to 5.25 V (or bipolar ±2.5 V) and a digital supply of 2.7 V to 3.6 V, with typical power consumption of 1.75 mW. It is available in a 32-VQFN (5 mm × 5 mm) surface-mount package and supports an operating temperature range of -50°C to 125°C, making it suitable for industrial and automotive environments.
