The ADS1100A1IDBVR is a precision, continuously self-calibrating analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Texas Instruments. It offers 16-bit resolution with a maximum sampling rate of 128 samples per second. The device integrates a programmable gain amplifier (PGA) with gains of 1, 2, 4, or 8, an internal system clock, and an I2C interface. It accepts both differential and single-ended inputs and operates from a single supply voltage between 2.7V and 5.5V. Typical power consumption is 0.27 mW. The ADC features a sigma-delta architecture with integral nonlinearity of 0.0125% of full scale maximum. It is available in a surface-mount SOT-23-6 package, making it suitable for space-constrained applications. Common applications include portable instrumentation, industrial process control, smart transmitters, consumer goods, factory automation, and temperature measurement.
