The ADP8860ACBZ-R7 is a 7-channel LED driver IC from Analog Devices, designed for powering LEDs in portable devices. It features a switched capacitor charge pump topology with automatic gain selection (1x, 1.5x, 2x) to maintain efficiency across varying input voltages. The device operates from a 2.5V supply and includes undervoltage lockout at 2.0V. Each of the seven independent and programmable LED drivers can sink up to 30mA typical (six channels) and 60mA typical (one channel), with 128 levels of programmable current limit. The I2C interface allows for dimming control and configuration of 16 programmable fade in/out times from 0.1 sec to 5.5 sec. The device includes short-circuit, overvoltage, and overtemperature protection, as well as internal soft start. It is available in a compact 20-WLCSP (1.96x2.36) package, surface mount, and operates over -40°C to 85°C ambient temperature range.
