The ADP2303ARDZ-R7 is a fixed-frequency, current-mode control, step-down DC-DC regulator manufactured by Analog Devices. It operates from an input voltage range of 3.0 V to 20 V, making it suitable for various applications. This regulator offers a maximum load current of 3 A for the ADP2303 variant and maintains ±1.5% output accuracy over temperature.
With a switching frequency of 700 kHz, the ADP2303ARDZ-R7 allows for the use of small inductors and ceramic capacitors, enabling a compact solution. The adjustable output voltage can be set down to 0.8 V. Key features include integrated high-side MOSFET, internal compensation, soft start, undervoltage lockout (UVLO), overcurrent protection (OCP), and thermal shutdown (TSD).
The device is housed in an 8-lead SOIC package with an exposed paddle. Its current-mode control architecture provides fast and stable line and load transient performance. The power-good signal can be utilized for sequencing other devices, and the precision enable pin with hysteresis offers easy sequencing from other supplies. This regulator is supported by the ADIsimPower™ design tool.
