The ADNS-7530 from PixArt Imaging is an integrated molded lead-frame DIP sensor designed for optical navigation applications. It utilizes LaserStream™ technology to measure changes in position by acquiring sequential surface images and mathematically determining movement direction and magnitude.
Key features include a wide operating voltage range of 2.7V to 3.6V, low power architecture with self-adjusting power-saving modes, and high-speed motion detection up to 30 ips and 8G. The sensor offers selectable resolutions of 400, 800, 1200, or 1600 cpi. It operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 40°C and has a wavelength of 832-865 nm.
This sensor is suitable for laser mice, optical trackballs, and integrated input devices, particularly those that are battery-powered. The integrated molded lead-frame DIP package simplifies integration into designs. The sensor communicates via a four-wire serial port and includes an internal oscillator, eliminating the need for an external clock input.
