The ADM8660ANZ is a CMOS switched-capacitor voltage converter designed by Analog Devices. It is capable of inverting the input supply voltage, providing a negative output voltage ranging from -1.5V to -7V from a positive input of +1.5V to +7V. This functionality is ideal for generating a negative rail in single power supply systems.
This device offers an output current of up to 100mA. It features selectable charge pump frequencies of 25 kHz or 120 kHz, allowing optimization of capacitor size and quiescent current. The ADM8660ANZ operates with a low quiescent current of 600 µA and has a voltage drop of 0.3V at a 30mA load. It is available in an 8-pin DIP package and supports through-hole mounting.
Applications for the ADM8660ANZ include handheld instruments, portable computers, remote data acquisition, and generating op-amp power supplies. Its ability to create a negative voltage rail from a single positive supply makes it a versatile component for various portable and battery-powered electronic devices.
