The ADM4851ARZ-REEL7 is a differential line transceiver designed for balanced data transmission on multipoint bus lines. It complies with EIA RS-485 and RS-422 standards. This half-duplex device integrates one driver and one receiver, supporting data rates up to 500 kbps. The transceiver features reduced slew rates for low electromagnetic interference (EMI) and true fail-safe receiver inputs. It operates from a single 5V supply (4.75V to 5.25V) over a temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The receiver hysteresis is 20 mV. The device is available in an 8-lead SOIC package (8-SOIC, 0.154" width) with surface mount mounting. It is suitable for low power RS-485 applications, EMI sensitive systems, industrial control, and local area networks. The ADM4851 is part of the ADM4850-ADM4857 family of transceivers offering various data rate and duplex options.
