ADM483EANZ

The ADM483EANZ is a 5V low power data transceiver designed for balanced data transmission on multipoint bus lines. It complies with TIA/EIA RS-485 and RS-422 standards, supporting up to 32 nodes on a bus. The device features ±15kV ESD protection (Human Body Model) and reduced slew rate for low electromagnetic interference. It operates at a data rate of 250 kbps and has a typical supply current of 0.36 mA, with a shutdown current of only 0.1 µA. The transceiver includes a receiver with 70 mV hysteresis and open-circuit fail-safe design. The driver outputs are short-circuit current-limited and protected by thermal shutdown. The ADM483EANZ is housed in an 8-DIP (0.300", 7.62mm) through-hole package, suitable for industrial temperature ranges from -40°C to 85°C.
