ADM3485EAR

The ADM3485EAR is a 3.3V low-power half-duplex transceiver designed for RS-485 and RS-422 communication. It features a single driver and receiver, supporting data rates up to 10 Mbps. The device includes ±15 kV ESD protection on the RS-485 input/output pins, ensuring robust operation in industrial environments. With a common-mode input range of -7V to +12V and open-circuit fail-safe design, it maintains a logic high output when inputs are floating. The transceiver can support up to 32 nodes on a bus. It operates over a wide temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The ADM3485EAR is available in an industry-standard 8-lead narrow SOIC package (8-SOIC) for surface mount assembly. Typical applications include power/energy metering, telecommunications, EMI-sensitive systems, industrial control, and local area networks.
