The ADM232LAR is a RS232 transceiver IC from Analog Devices designed for serial communication interfaces. It integrates two drivers and two receivers supporting full duplex operation at data rates up to 120 kbps, compliant with EIA-232-E and V.28 standards.
The device operates from a single 4.5V to 5.5V supply and includes an on-board DC-DC converter to generate the required RS-232 voltage levels. It features a receiver hysteresis of 650 mV for noise immunity and an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
