The Analog Devices ADM1232ANZ is a microprocessor supervisory circuit housed in an 8-PDIP package. This device monitors microprocessor supply voltage and detects if a microprocessor has locked up or external interrupts have occurred. It offers adjustable precision voltage monitoring with options for 4.5V and 4.75V, and an adjustable strobe monitor with 150 ms, 600 ms, or 1.2 sec options. The operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C.
Designed for simplicity, the ADM1232ANZ requires no external components. It provides a reset output that can be active high or active low, with a minimum reset timeout of 250ms. The output type is open drain, push-pull. This component is suitable for applications such as microprocessor systems, portable equipment, computers, controllers, intelligent instruments, and automotive systems.
The ADM1232ANZ is pin-compatible with MAX1232 and Dallas DS1232 devices. It is mounted via through-hole method and operates reliably within the specified temperature range, making it a robust choice for critical system monitoring.
