The ADM1184ARMZ is a 4-channel voltage monitoring IC manufactured by Analog Devices. It is designed to monitor four separate voltage rails using precision comparators with a worst-case accuracy of 0.8%. The device operates from a VCC supply voltage ranging from 2.7 V to 5.5 V.
Each of the four voltage inputs (VIN1-VIN4) can be programmed to monitor different voltage levels using external resistor dividers. The ADM1184ARMZ includes three open-drain enable outputs (OUT1-OUT3) and one open-drain power-good output (PWRGD). The PWRGD output indicates the status of all monitored supplies, with an internal typical delay of 190 ms associated with its assertion. If any monitored supply drops below its programmed threshold, the corresponding OUTx pin and the PWRGD output are deasserted immediately.
This voltage monitor is suitable for applications such as monitor and alarm functions, telecommunications, microprocessor systems, and PC/servers. It is supplied in a compact 10-lead MSOP package, making it suitable for space-constrained designs.
