The ADM1021ARQZ is a low-cost, two-channel digital thermometer and over/under-temperature alarm IC from ON Semiconductor, designed for thermal monitoring in systems like personal computers.
This device features both on-chip and remote temperature sensing capabilities. The on-chip sensor monitors the device's environment, while the remote channel can measure the temperature of a microprocessor using a diode-connected PNP transistor or a discrete NPN/PNP device. A key feature is its novel measurement technique that eliminates the need for calibration.
