The ADIS16488CMLZ is a tactical-grade, ten degrees of freedom Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) from Analog Devices. This complete inertial system integrates a triaxial gyroscope with a dynamic range of ±450°/sec, a triaxial accelerometer with a range of ±18g, and a triaxial magnetometer with a range of ±2.5 gauss. It also features a digital pressure sensor capable of measuring from 300 mbar to 1100 mbar.
Designed for ease of integration, the ADIS16488CMLZ offers factory-calibrated sensitivity, bias, and axial alignment. It operates with a single supply voltage between 3.0 V and 3.6 V and features an SPI-compatible serial interface for data collection and configuration. The device has a fast start-up time of approximately 500 ms and an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C (TA).
Applications for the ADIS16488CMLZ include platform stabilization and control, navigation, personnel tracking, instrumentation, and robotics.
