ADF4355BCPZ Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The ADF4355BCPZ is a high performance microwave wideband synthesizer with an integrated voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) from Analog Devices. It is designed for use in fractional-N or integer-N phase-locked loop (PLL) frequency synthesizer applications when combined with an external loop filter and reference frequency.

The device features an integrated VCO with a fundamental output frequency range of 3400 MHz to 6800 MHz. A series of programmable dividers (divide by 1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64) allows the RF output frequency to be extended down to 54 MHz. The synthesizer includes a high resolution 38-bit modulus for fine frequency resolution and a programmable dual modulus prescaler of 4/5 or 8/9.

The ADF4355BCPZ operates with analog and digital supply voltages of 3.15V to 3.45V and charge pump and VCO supplies of 4.75V to 5.25V. It is housed in a 32-lead LFCSP (5x5 mm) surface mount package and is specified for operation over the -40°C to +85°C temperature range.
