The ADC3662IRSBT is a dual-channel, 16-bit, successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Texas Instruments, part of the ADC366x family. It operates at a maximum sampling rate of 25 MSPS per channel and delivers excellent dynamic performance with 82 dB SNR and 90 dB SFDR at a 10 MHz input frequency. The device consumes only 110 mW total power, with per-channel power scaling from 53 mW at 10 MSPS to 94 mW at 65 MSPS.
The ADC3662IRSBT features a serial LVDS digital interface with 1-cycle latency, supporting 2-wire, 1-wire, and half-wire configurations. It includes an optional on-chip digital filter with decimation by 2, 4, 8, 16, or 32 and a 32-bit NCO. The input bandwidth is 900 MHz (3 dB), and the device supports both external and internal voltage references.
This ADC is designed for high-speed data acquisition, industrial monitoring, software-defined radio, spectrum analysis, and control loop applications. It operates from a 1.75V to 1.85V supply and over an industrial temperature range of -40°C to +105°C. The device is housed in a compact 40-WQFN (5 mm × 5 mm) surface-mount package, enabling space-constrained designs.
