The ADC121S101 is a low-power, single-channel CMOS 12-bit analog-to-digital converter with a high-speed serial interface. Unlike conventional practice, it is fully specified over a sample rate range of 500 ksps to 1 Msps. The converter is based on a successive-approximation register architecture with an internal track-and-hold circuit. Output serial data is straight binary, compatible with SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, and many common DSP serial interfaces.

 

The ADC121S101 operates from a single 2.7V to 5.25V supply, consuming only 2 mW typical at 3V and 10 mW at 5V. It provides 72.5 dB SNR, DNL of +0.5/-0.3 LSB typical, and INL of ±0.40 LSB typical. The device is specified over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to 125°C and is AEC-Q100 Grade 1 qualified.

 

Available in a 6-pin SOT-23 package, the ADC121S101 is suitable for space-constrained designs. Its small footprint and low power consumption make it ideal for portable and battery-powered applications, data acquisition systems, and industrial control.
