The Texas Instruments ADC121S051CIMF/NOPB is a low-power, single-channel CMOS 12-bit analog-to-digital converter featuring a high-speed serial interface. This successive-approximation register (SAR) architecture ADC is fully specified over a sample rate range of 200 ksps to 500 ksps, offering flexibility in performance.
It operates from a single supply voltage ranging from +2.7V to +5.25V. The device supports SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, and many common DSP serial interfaces. The ADC121S051 is available in compact 6-lead WSON and SOT-23 packages, making it suitable for space-constrained applications. Its operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
Key features include variable power management, with normal power consumption at 1.7 mW (3.6V) and 8.7 mW (5.25V). A power-down feature can reduce consumption to as low as 2.6 µW. The ADC121S051 is designed for applications requiring precise analog-to-digital conversion with a simple serial interface.
