The ADC0848CCN/NOPB is a CMOS 8-bit successive approximation (SAR) analog-to-digital converter from Texas Instruments. It includes a versatile 8-channel analog input multiplexer that can be software configured for single-ended, differential, or pseudo-differential operation. The converter operates with a single 5V supply or ratiometrically, and requires an external voltage reference. With a maximum sampling rate of 25 kSPS and a conversion time of 40 µs, it is suitable for low-to-medium speed data acquisition applications.
The device features a parallel data interface that easily connects to most microprocessors without additional logic. Its internal clock simplifies system design. The input voltage range is 0V to 5V with a 5V reference. Power dissipation is typically 15 mW. The ADC0848CCN/NOPB is offered in a 24-pin DIP package (0.300" body width, 7.62 mm lead spacing) for through-hole mounting. It operates over a 0°C to 70°C temperature range.
