ADC083000CIYB/NOPB Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The ADC083000 is a single, low power, high performance CMOS analog-to-digital converter that digitizes signals to 8 bits resolution at sampling rates up to 3.4 GSPS. It operates from a single 1.9V supply and consumes a typical 1.9 Watts at 3 GSPS.

The device uses a unique folding and interpolating architecture with a fully differential comparator design and an internal sample-and-hold amplifier. It achieves a typical ENOB of 7.0 bits at 748 MHz input and 3 GHz sample rate, with an SNR of 44.5 dB and SFDR of 57 dB. The word error rate is 10⁻¹⁸.

The ADC083000 features a parallel LVDS interface with choice of SDR or DDR output clocking. It includes a serial interface for extended control, duty cycle correction, and test pattern support. The input buffer is included, and the peak-to-peak input voltage range is 0.82V.

The device is available in a 128-LQFP Exposed Pad package (supplier device package 128-HLQFP 20x20) and is surface mount. It operates over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
