The ADC082S021CIMM/NOPB is a low-power, two-channel CMOS 8-bit analog-to-digital converter from Texas Instruments. It uses a successive-approximation register (SAR) architecture with an internal track-and-hold circuit. The device is specified over a sample rate range of 50 ksps to 200 ksps.
Key specifications include 8-bit resolution, 200 ksps maximum sample rate, two single-ended input channels, SPI/DSP serial interface, supply voltage range 2.7V to 5.25V, and typical power consumption of 1.6 mW at 3V and 5.8 mW at 5V. Typical SNR is 49.6 dB, with DNL and INL of ±0.04 LSB.
The converter can be configured to accept one or two input signals. The output data is straight binary and compatible with SPI, QSPI, MICROWIRE, and common DSP serial interfaces. It operates from a single supply and includes variable power management.
The device is available in an 8-VSSOP surface-mount package (also compatible with 8-TSSOP, 8-MSOP). Operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
