The ADC0820CCN is an 8-bit Flash analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Analog Devices/Maxim Integrated. It features a half-flash architecture with 32 comparators, providing a conversion time of 1.5 µs maximum in WR-RD mode and 2.5 µs maximum in RD mode. The device operates from a single analog supply of 4.5V to 8V and dissipates a maximum of 75 mW.
The ADC accepts one pseudo-differential or single-ended input with an analog input voltage range of 0V to 5V. It uses a parallel data interface and includes a built-in track-and-hold function, eliminating the need for an external sample-and-hold for signals with slew rates less than 100 mV/µs. The total unadjusted error is ±½ LSB or ±1 LSB.
The ADC0820CCN is housed in a 20-pin DIP package (0.300" width, 7.62mm pitch) with through-hole mounting, specified as 20-PDIP. It operates over a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C. The device is designed for easy microprocessor interface and can operate stand-alone without external clocking.
