The AD9963BCPZ from Analog Devices is a pin-compatible, 10-/12-bit, low-power MxFE converter designed for transmit and receive signal paths in communication systems. It integrates two ADC channels with sample rates of 100 MSPS and two DAC channels with sample rates up to 170 MSPS.
This device features 5 auxiliary analog channels, with three inputs to a 12-bit ADC and two configurable as outputs via 10-bit DACs. The remaining two channels are dedicated outputs from independent 12-bit DACs. The AD9963BCPZ supports full and half-duplex data interfaces and offers flexible clocking options. Its transmit path supports 1x, 2x, 4x, and 8x interpolation, while the receive path includes a bypassable 2x decimating low-pass filter.
With a low power consumption of less than 425 mW at maximum sample rates, the AD9963BCPZ is well-suited for portable and low-power applications. It comes in a compact 72-lead LFCSP package, facilitating high integration in small form factors. Key applications include wireless infrastructure, picocell and femtocell basestations, medical instrumentation, ultrasound AFEs, portable instrumentation, and signal generators/analyzers.
