The AD9888KS-140 is a complete 8-bit, 170 MSPS analog flat panel interface from Analog Devices, designed for capturing RGB graphics signals from personal computers and workstations. Its 170 MSPS maximum conversion rate and 500 MHz programmable analog bandwidth support resolutions up to 1600 × 1200 (UXGA) at 75 Hz.
The device includes a triple 8-bit ADC with a 0.5 V to 1.0 V analog input range and a PLL with less than 450 ps p-p clock jitter at 170 MSPS. It operates from a 3.3 V supply with typical power consumption under 1 W. The output format supports 4:2:2 mode, and control is via an I2C-compatible 2-wire serial interface.
The AD9888KS-140 is housed in a 128-MQFP (14x20) surface mount package. It is suitable for RGB graphics processing in LCD monitors, projectors, plasma displays, scan converters, and digital TV applications.
