The AD9858BSVZ is a direct digital synthesizer (DDS) from Analog Devices featuring a 10-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) operating up to 1 GSPS. It uses advanced DDS technology to form a digitally programmable, complete high frequency synthesizer capable of generating a frequency-agile analog output sine wave at up to 400 MHz.
The device includes a 32-bit programmable frequency register, a 1 GHz master clock, and supports an input clock up to 2 GHz with a selectable divide-by-2. It offers simplified 8-bit parallel and SPI serial control interfaces, automatic frequency sweeping capability, and 4 frequency profiles. The AD9858 integrates a programmable charge pump and phase frequency detector with fast lock circuit, as well as a 2 GHz mixer.
The AD9858BSVZ operates from a 3.3 V supply with typical power dissipation of 2 W. It is designed for surface mount assembly in a 100-TQFP Exposed Pad package (14x14 mm) and supports an operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
The master clock frequency is 1 GHz.
The integrated DAC has a resolution of 10 bits.
The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
The nominal supply voltage is 3.3 V.
It is available in a 100-TQFP Exposed Pad package (14x14 mm).
The maximum analog output frequency is 400 MHz.
It supports 8-bit parallel and SPI serial interfaces.
