AD9850BRSZ

The AD9850BRSZ is a highly integrated CMOS device that functions as a complete, digitally programmable frequency synthesizer and clock generator. Utilizing advanced DDS technology, it produces a spectrally pure, frequency/phase programmable analog output sine wave. This sine wave can be used directly as a frequency source or converted to a square wave for agile-clock generator applications.

Key specifications include a 125 MHz clock rate, a 10-bit high-performance DAC, and a 32-bit frequency tuning word, enabling an output tuning resolution of 0.0291 Hz with a 125 MHz reference clock. The device supports output frequencies up to half the reference clock frequency (62.5 MHz) and allows for asynchronous digital frequency changes at rates up to 23 million per second. It also provides 5 bits of digitally controlled phase modulation.

Designed for flexibility, the AD9850BRSZ can be loaded via a parallel byte or serial format. It operates on a single 3.3 V or 5 V supply, consuming low power. The device is specified for an extended industrial temperature range of -40 °C to +85 °C and is available in a space-saving 28-lead SSOP surface-mount package.
