The AD9844AJST is a complete analog signal processor for CCD applications, designed to sample and condition outputs of interlaced and progressive scan area CCD arrays. It integrates a correlated double sampler (CDS), digitally controlled variable gain amplifier (VGA), black level clamp, and a 12-bit A/D converter. The device operates from a 2.7V to 3.6V supply and consumes only 65 mW typical power. It supports a maximum clock rate of 20 MHz and provides 12-bit resolution with no missing codes guaranteed. The input and output are logic-level compatible. The AD9844AJST is housed in a 48-lead LQFP package (7x7 mm) for surface mount assembly. It is suitable for digital still cameras, digital video camcorders, and PC cameras. The device includes auxiliary inputs with VGA and input clamp, and a 3-wire serial digital interface for programming gain and other parameters.
