The AD9832BRUZ is a numerically controlled oscillator (NCO) from Analog Devices that integrates a phase accumulator, a sine look-up table, and a 10-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) on a single CMOS chip. It supports clock rates up to 25 MHz and provides frequency accuracy to one part in 4 billion. Modulation capabilities for phase and frequency are available via the serial interface.
The device operates from a supply voltage range of 2.97V to 5.5V and is specified for the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. Typical power consumption is 200 mW, with a power-down mode reducing consumption to 5 mW at 5V and 3 mW at 3V. The 32-bit tuning word width allows fine frequency resolution. The DAC resolution is 10 bits.
The AD9832BRUZ is suitable for frequency stimulus and waveform generation, frequency phase tuning and modulation, low-power RF and communications systems, liquid and gas flow measurement, and sensory applications such as proximity, motion, and defect detection. It is also used in test and medical equipment.
The part is housed in a 16-lead TSSOP package (16-TSSOP, 0.173" width, 4.40mm width) and is designed for surface mount mounting. The package is RoHS3 compliant (unverified) and has an MSL of 1 (unlimited).
