The AD977ACNZ is a high-speed, 16-bit successive approximation register (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) from Analog Devices. It operates from a single 5V supply and achieves a maximum sampling rate of 200 kSPS. The device includes an internal 2.5V reference and a high-speed SPI serial interface, simplifying system integration.
The ADC supports multiple analog input voltage ranges: unipolar 0 V to 10 V, 0 V to 5 V, and 0 V to 4 V; and bipolar ±10 V, ±5 V, and ±3.3 V. Maximum power dissipation is 100 mW, with a power-down mode reducing consumption to 50 µW. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C, suitable for industrial environments.
The AD977ACNZ is housed in a 20-pin PDIP (0.300" body width, 2.54 mm lead pitch) through-hole package, also known as 20-DIP. This package is ideal for prototyping and applications requiring robust mechanical mounting. Typical applications include automatic test equipment, process control, and industrial automation where high resolution and moderate speed are required.
