The AD976BRZ is a high-speed, low-power 16-bit analog-to-digital converter from Analog Devices Inc. It operates from a single 5V supply and uses a successive approximation register (SAR) architecture. The device provides a 100kSPS throughput rate with a single-ended input range of ±10V. It includes an internal 2.5V reference or can use an external reference. The converter features a parallel interface for data output.
Designed for industrial applications, the AD976BRZ accepts a standard ±10V input range and dissipates a maximum of 100mW. It includes an on-chip clock and is factory calibrated to minimize linearity errors. The integral nonlinearity is ±3 LSB max and differential nonlinearity is ±2 LSB max, with 15-bit no missing codes guarantee.
The ADC is available in a 28-lead SOIC package with a width of 7.50mm. It supports surface mount assembly and operates over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The device is RoHS3 compliant (unverified) and has an MSL level of 1.
Typical applications include data acquisition systems, industrial process control, and instrumentation requiring high resolution and moderate speed.
