The AD976ARZ is a 16-bit successive approximation (SAR) analog-to-digital converter from Analog Devices. It offers a 100kSPS sampling rate with a single-ended input range of ±10V, making it suitable for industrial data acquisition applications. The device operates from a single 5V supply and includes an internal 2.5V reference, though an external reference can also be used.
The ADC features a high-speed parallel interface and an on-chip clock. It is factory calibrated to minimize linearity errors, with integral nonlinearity of ±3 LSB and differential nonlinearity of ±2 LSB. The converter is specified for a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
The AD976ARZ is available in a 28-lead SOIC (0.295" body width) surface-mount package. It dissipates a maximum of 100mW, making it suitable for power-sensitive designs. The device is designed for single-supply 5V operation and is fabricated on Analog Devices' BiCMOS process.
