AD9765ASTZ Description

Short technical summary and product information.

The AD9765ASTZ is a 12-bit, dual-channel digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from the TxDAC+ family by Analog Devices. It supports update rates up to 125 MSPS and provides a current unbuffered output with differential capability. Key electrical specifications include a typical settling time of 35 ns, excellent spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) of 75 dBc at 5 MHz output, and gain and offset matching of 0.1%. The device operates from analog supplies of 3 V to 5.5 V and digital supplies of 2.7 V to 5.5 V, with typical power dissipation of 380 mW at 5 V (50 mW in power-down mode).

The DAC integrates two independent conversion channels with a parallel data interface and supports both external and internal voltage references. It is designed for communications and signal processing applications such as base station I/Q modulation, digital synthesis, quadrature modulation, and 3D ultrasound imaging. The architecture uses a current source design with integral nonlinearity (INL) of ±0.4 LSB and differential nonlinearity (DNL) of ±0.3 LSB maximum.

The AD9765ASTZ is housed in a 48-lead LQFP package (7x7 mm) and is surface mount compatible. It is rated for operation over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. The device is supplied in tape and reel packaging for automated assembly.
