The AD9764ARZ is a 14-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices, part of the TxDAC family optimized for communication transmit channels. It supports update rates up to 125 MSPS with 14-bit resolution and provides excellent SFDR and IMD performance. The device offers differential current outputs from 2 mA to 20 mA and features a typical settling time of 35 ns.
The DAC operates from a single supply of 2.7V to 5.5V and consumes 190 mW at 5V or 45 mW at 3V. A power-down mode reduces dissipation to 25 mW at 5V. An on-chip 1.2V reference is included, and the data interface is parallel with edge-triggered latches. The AD9764ARZ is housed in a 28-lead SOIC (wide) surface mount package and is rated for -40°C to 85°C operation. Common applications include basestation transmitters, ADSL/HFC modems, and instrumentation.
