The AD9764ARU is a 14-bit resolution member of the TxDAC series of high-performance, low-power CMOS digital-to-analog converters (DACs) from Analog Devices. It supports update rates up to 125 MSPS and provides differential current outputs ranging from 2 mA to 20 mA. The architecture is current source based, offering excellent SFDR and IMD performance for communication transmit channel applications.
The device features a parallel digital interface with edge-triggered latches, and accepts both external and internal references. The on-chip 1.20 V reference simplifies design. Settling time is typically 35 ns, and INL/DNL are ±2.5 LSB and ±1.5 LSB maximum respectively. The power dissipation is 190 mW at 5V supply, reducing to 45 mW at 3V, with a power-down mode consuming 25 mW at 5V.
The AD9764ARU operates from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply over the full industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. It is supplied in a surface-mount 28-lead TSSOP package (28-TSSOP, 4.40mm width). This package is pin-compatible with other TxDAC family members, allowing easy scalability.
