AD9764AR from Analog Devices is a 14-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) optimized for communication transmit channels. It supports update rates up to 125 MSPS and provides differential current outputs from 2 mA to 20 mA. The device is a member of the pin-compatible TxDAC product family.
The DAC features a parallel data interface with 35 ns typical settling time and current-unbuffered output architecture. It operates from a single 2.7V to 5.5V supply, with power dissipation of 190 mW at 5V and a power-down mode that reduces power to 25 mW at 5V. An on-chip 1.20V reference is included, and external or internal reference types are supported.
The AD9764AR is supplied in a 28-SOIC (0.295", 7.50mm width) surface-mount package and operates over -40°C to 85°C. Its differential outputs and high update rate make it suitable for basestations, ADSL/HFC modems, and instrumentation applications.
The AD9764AR provides 14-bit resolution.
