The AD9760ARU is a 10-bit digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices, part of the pin-compatible TxDAC family. It supports update rates up to 125 MSPS and provides differential current output from 2 mA to 20 mA. The device operates from a single supply of 2.7 V to 5.5 V, with typical power dissipation of 175 mW at 5 V and 45 mW at 3 V. An on-chip 1.20 V reference is included, and both external and internal reference modes are supported.
The parallel data interface and edge-triggered latches are designed for communication transmit channels, including basestations, set-top boxes, digital radio links, direct digital synthesis (DDS), and instrumentation. The architecture uses a current-source design with a typical settling time of 35 ns. Integral nonlinearity is ±0.5 LSB and differential nonlinearity is ±0.25 LSB (typical).
The AD9760ARU is available in a 28-lead TSSOP package and is rated for surface-mount assembly. It operates over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C. The device is also offered in a 50 MSPS version as the AD9760-50.
