The AD9744ARZ is a 14-bit, high-performance digital-to-analog converter (DAC) from Analog Devices, part of the TxDAC product family. It offers a maximum update rate of 210 MSPS and is designed for wideband communication transmit channels, direct IF signal generation, and direct digital synthesis (DDS) systems.
Key electrical specifications include a typical settling time of 11 ns, excellent spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) of 83 dBc at 5 MHz output, 80 dBc at 10 MHz, and 73 dBc at 20 MHz. The signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) at 5 MHz output is 77 dB. The device provides differential current output with a programmable full-scale range of 2 mA to 20 mA.
The AD9744ARZ operates from a single 2.7V to 3.6V supply and typically dissipates 135 mW in normal operation, with a power-down mode reducing consumption to 15 mW. It includes an on-chip 1.2V reference and supports both external and internal reference modes. The digital interface is parallel with CMOS-compatible inputs.
The device is offered in a 28-lead SOIC surface-mount package and is specified for operation over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
