The AD9744ARUZ is a 14-bit resolution, wideband, third-generation member of the TxDAC series of high-performance, low-power CMOS digital-to-analog converters (DACs) from Analog Devices. Optimized for the transmit signal path of communication systems, it supports update rates up to 210 MSPS.
Key electrical specifications include an excellent spurious-free dynamic range (SFDR) performance of up to 83 dBc at 5 MHz output, and a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) of 77 dB at 5 MHz output with a 125 MSPS update rate. The device supports twos complement or straight binary data formats and features differential current outputs ranging from 2 mA to 20 mA. It operates with a supply voltage between 2.7 V and 3.6 V, typically 3.3 V, and has a typical power dissipation of 135 mW at 3.3 V. A power-down mode reduces standby power to approximately 15 mW.
The AD9744ARUZ integrates an on-chip 1.2 V reference and a CMOS-compatible digital interface. It is housed in a 28-lead TSSOP package, suitable for surface mounting. The typical settling time is 11 ns, and it offers integral non-linearity (INL) of ±0.8 LSB and ±0.5 LSB. The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
Applications for the AD9744ARUZ include wideband communication transmit channels, direct IFs, base stations, wireless local loops, digital radio links, direct digital synthesis (DDS), and instrumentation.
The AD9744ARUZ has a resolution of 14 bits.
The AD9744ARUZ supports a maximum sample rate of 210 MSPS.
The SFDR is 83 dBc at 5 MHz output, 80 dBc at 10 MHz output, and 73 dBc at 20 MHz output.
The differential current outputs range from 2 mA to 20 mA.
The typical power dissipation is 135 mW at 3.3 V.
The operating temperature range is -40°C to 85°C.
The AD9744ARUZ is available in a 28-TSSOP package.
